MEST 4 course work summary

My Question -  Identify and outline the main differences between the UK and US film industry and how those films are promoted. How are independent films promoted? Collect any facts and figures you could use in the exam. 

Me and the other members in my group discussed this question of what the main difference is between the UK and US film industry and how they are promoted. 

The UK film industry

With the United Kingdom the British film industry was created in the 1940's. The director David Lean, Michael Powell, and Carol Reed, at this time all of the director produced acclaimed work. The united kingdom hold some of the film that have the largest ever office returns, for example these include James Bond and Harry Potter. 
The US film industry
Which is know as Hollywood, this was known to the rest of the world in early 20th century.  There are four main areas that show the history,  the silent film eraclassical Hollywood cinemaNew Hollywood, and the contemporary period. Throughout time american cinema shows that its has just become the dominate force in emerging industry. Hollywood are very successful as they have grossed more money than any other country has. 
Similarities and Differences
Gathering all this information, it shows that their a differences between the UK and the US film industry.

Perato's Law (A)


On the internet their are a large amount of companies, these companies provide information and share things to the public. There's not just one company their is a variety of them meaning that their are different types of information that will be provided. For example one thing against this would be; many to many people through communication, for example one institution has YouTube however the stuff on their is generated my the people. Even though its produced by one institution its shows that their is different types of information that is provided to people.
